The Department of Scientific Activity Management (DSAM) is an internal structural unit of the Department of Science, which ensures the coordination of scientific work of scientific and pedagogical collectives and individual scientists of the University within the main areas of scientific activity in accordance with the priority areas of science and technology.
The main objectives of the DSAM are:
- scientific and organizational support for improving the level of fundamental, applied research and technical developments of University scientists;
- activation of research activities of the university's structural divisions.
The activities of the DSAM are aimed at solving the following tasks:
- organization and coordination of research work of the faculty and students of the University;
- coordination of all budgetary and extra-budgetary research activities of the University's structural divisions within the framework of the main scientific directions;
- involvement of the University's research and teaching staff in intensive research activities;
- planning and holding of annual scientific and practical conferences, exhibitions, seminars, etc.;
- monitoring and analysis of scientific and publishing activities of teachers and students;
- organization of work to increase the publication activity of university scientists in international rating journals;
- development of international scientific and technical cooperation in order to use the best international experience of scientific and innovative activities;
- coordination of scientific cooperation with other universities and research institutes;
- promotion of scientific and technical achievements of scientists and specialists of the university;
- issue and popularization of the scientific journal "Bulletin of Shakarim University",
- verification of final qualifying works and research papers for borrowing (plagiarism);
- involvement of students and schoolchildren in research activities.
