- Carry out activities in accordance with the decisions of the Academic Council of the University, the Internal Regulations of the University and these Regulations.
- Organize work to improve the quality of research work of the faculty and staff of the university.
- Ensure the accounting, storage, maintenance and use of the department's documentation, maintain the confidentiality of the information contained in the department's documents, maintain the nomenclature of cases in the prescribed manner.
- Develop and present in the prescribed manner the annual, current work plans of the department.
- Implement the decisions of the University of Science, orders and instructions of the Rector of the University.
- Provide communication with higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, countries of near and far abroad, educational authorities on issues of improving the research activities of the university.
- Qualitatively and in full to carry out the tasks and functions assigned to them.
