Shakarim University hosted a literary evening titled "Abai in World Languages." This educational event was organized in honor of the great poet’s 180th anniversary.
The cultural evening aimed to strengthen the role of literature in shaping students' national consciousness and increase their interest in it. The main goals were to popularize Abai's works among young people, develop students' creative potential through learning foreign languages, and foster a multicultural personality.
As is well known, Abai’s works have been translated into many languages worldwide. Students of the Higher School of Philology presented the great poet’s works in the foreign languages taught at the university, including Turkish, German, English, Chinese, and Russian. They sought to reveal the cultural context and deep meaning of his works.
Additionally, the library staff organized a trilingual book exhibition titled "Abai in World Languages."
