Information about the availability of a licensed plagiarism detection system
The California based anti-plagiarism system Turnitin, created in 1997, is owned by the media company Advance.
Turnitin is one of the global leaders in the market for plagiarism detection software. The system is actively used by educational and publishing institutions in the USA, Canada, the European Union, and Kazakhstan.
Shakarim University signed a contract with Turnitin in April 2021, with the agreement valid until April 2022.
The Turnitin database includes more than 45 billion sources, including open-access internet, closed scientific journals, national libraries of various countries and cities, databases of academic works at different universities, and more.
