New media is understood as all types of traditional media, the content of which has been digitized and can potentially be presented on the Internet. That is why today other common synonyms for the concept of "new media" are the terms "online media" and "network media", associated with the presentation of a media product in digitized form directly on the Internet. Knowledge and possession of the basic characteristics of traditional and new types of journalism, taking into account the technical and technological foundations is a modern requirement.
