Relevance:

The history of deportation processes in East Kazakhstan in 1937-1956 has not been comprehensively studied to date. Currently, there is no separate scientific work on the stated topic in domestic and foreign historiography. The significance and scientific potential of the project is due to the fact that it lays the necessary foundation for future research on such topical issues of the history of Kazakhstan as ethnic deportations, the daily life of special settlers.

The prerequisites for the development of the project are the experience of working on the research of deportation processes in East Kazakhstan in 1937-1956, which were reflected in the dissertation research of the doctoral student. The collection and analysis of documents and materials in domestic archives on the topic of the project was carried out, the results of the research were reflected in articles sent for publication in publications recommended by Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and Science and materials of international conferences.

During the implementation of the project, new archival documents on the declared topic will be revealed. All materials after systematization will be subjected to a thorough source analysis and comparative analysis.


Target:

The aim of the project is to explore the historicalmemory of the deported ethnic groups of Kazakhstan through the perception of different generations, which is reflected in historical documents, personal documents, and can be traced in oral memories. In the context of historical memory, the unifying factors that carry creativity, humanism, unity can be found in the most tragic events.


Expectation:

- at least 1 (one) monograph with a postdoctoral contribution of at least 6 p.l., reviewed and recommended for publication by at least two holders of the academic title of professor and/or the academic degree of doctor of sciences;
- at least 5 (five) articles and (or) reviews in peer-reviewed foreign and (or) domestic publications recommended by CCFES;

- introduction to scientific circulation of data found in domestic and foreign archives;

- participation in national and international conferences, seminars and round tables on the project research topic;

- organization of a "Dialogue platform" within the framework of the research topic with the participation of foreign scientists;

- to organize a scientific seminar on the basis of the university "The significance of the activities of exiles in local history";

- Organization of a scientific seminar on the topic of the project on the basis of the University.
