The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is a permanent intergovernmental international organization.
The SCO is not a military bloc and a closed alliance directed against anyone, but is an open Organization focused on broad international cooperation, including the possibility of expanding its membership.
The First Forum of Rectors of Agricultural Universities of the SCO countries is held in order to strengthen the cooperation of universities in the field of modern agriculture, exchange of experience in higher education.
Shakarim University plans to cooperate with the Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry in the following areas:
1) Implementation of two-degree bachelor's and master's degree programs: mainly in the areas of Food safety, Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry Technology, Forest resources.
2) Mutual exchange of students under the program of academic mobility and scientific internships.
The first to go for a scientific internship is the 2nd–year doctoral student of the educational program Food Safety - Marat Muratkhan.
3) It is also planned to invite scientists to Shakarim University to give lectures and conduct joint scientific research.
