CALL TO SCHOLARS AND STUDENTS’ COMMUNITIES

The whole world and our country have been actively fighting “the plague of the 21st century”, the coronavirus infection COVID-19 for the last 2 years.

In the current situation of widespread coronavirus infection for higher education institutions, ensuring the safety and security of students, faculty, staff and their families has become a top priority.

Timely and effective actions taken by the Head of State and the government commission made it possible to minimize the consequences of the spread of infection.

The unprecedented and prompt measures introduced by the Ministry of Education and Science of the country at all levels of education made it possible to protect our colleagues and students as much as possible, to switch to a remote form of work and education. Most importantly, the educational process was not stopped and adapted to the requirements and norms of social isolation in a pandemic.

At the same time, we want to emphasize that the leadership of universities continues to take active measures to prevent the spread of infection, has minimized personal contacts and organized interactive learning in an online format.

On the eve of the end of the school year and the beginning of the summer vacation season, mass vacations, unfortunately, there is still a danger of an increase in the incidence of this infection.

In his speech at the meeting on countermeasures against coronavirus infection (03/18/21), the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev drew attention to the fact of the continuing unstable epidemiological situation in the country, the high risk of a repetition of the summer situation in 2020.

Therefore, the Board of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan calls on the scientific and pedagogical community and students to maintain a high level of civil and social responsibility, to comply with the norms and rules of personal and social behavior in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

Today, more than ever, it is important that each of you fully comply with anti-epidemiological measures, contribute to the formation of collective immunity, take part in vaccination against COVID-19, and thereby protect yourself, your loved ones and society as a whole.

The COVID-19 virus is a major challenge. But we are confident that together we will be able to overcome it.

We wish you all good health, optimism in life and great professional success. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
