"Without a Mask" Art Therapy

Specialist of the Psychological Support Service, K.A. Sagyndykova, conducted art therapy titled "Without a Mask" for students of the Food Engineering Research School and the Physics-Chemistry Research School.

🎨 Results of the training: what students were able to gain:

  1. Opportunity to express inner feelings

    • Students learned to openly express their emotions without hiding behind a mask.

    • Many were able to freely share their inner worries, fears, or dreams for the first time.

  2. Self-acceptance and self-understanding

    • Through creative tasks, students took their first steps towards self-awareness and self-acceptance.

    • The ability to value their individuality developed.

  3. Emotional release and stress reduction

    • Through art, internal tension and stress were reduced.

    • This provided psychological relief to the students.

  4. Group support and an atmosphere of trust

    • An atmosphere of trust was established within the group, and students learned to support and listen to each other.

    • Collaborative art projects strengthened the sense of community.

  5. Increased creative freedom and initiative

    • Students learned to express their thoughts through painting, collages, drawings, or installations.

    • This developed their creative thinking and ability to voice their opinions.

  6. Communication and reflection skills

    • By reflecting on their work, students learned to critically assess themselves and others.

    • Openness in communication was fostered.
