"May 31 – In honor of World No Tobacco Day: ‘Tobacco – the Silent Enemy of Health’"

The Psychological Support Service conducted a training session for students of Shakarim Higher College and the Preparatory Department of "Shakarim University" NJSC in honor of World No Tobacco Day on May 31.
The training was conducted by psychological support specialist Ms. K.A. Sagyndykova.

During the session, students gained the following important knowledge and skills:

  1. Accurate information about the harms of tobacco
    – Gained an understanding of the harmful effects of smoking on health (lungs, heart, brain, etc.).
    – Learned that passive (secondhand) smoking is also dangerous.
  2. Skills to resist tobacco use
    – Learned methods to resist peer pressure and how to refuse offers to smoke.
    – Practiced the ability to confidently and respectfully say "no."
  3. Importance of making the right choices
    – Understood the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and learned to take responsibility for their own choices.
  4. Motivation and support
    – Discovered ways to support and motivate those who want to quit smoking.
    – Became inspired to make positive changes in their own lives and communities.
  5. The importance of social campaigns
    – Recognized the value of participating in anti-tobacco movements and expressed readiness to actively contribute to such initiatives.
