The discipline reveals the features of the theoretical and practical aspects of working with various population groups, including children and adults with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities.

Sensory integration

The discipline is devoted to the study of the physiological and neuropsychological foundations of human sensory systems. It covers the processes of perception, processing and integration of sensory information, as well as their impact on the development of motor skills, cognitive functions and behavioral responses. Special attention is paid to modern methods of diagnosis and correction of sensory integration disorders in children and adults with disabilities. The course includes both theoretical aspects and practical exercises for the development and implementation of individual correctional programs aimed at improving sensory adaptation.

Adaptive physical education and sports

The course reveals the principles of an inclusive approach in education and physical culture and sports activities, focusing on the integration of people with disabilities into the general education and sports environment. Legal documents regulating inclusion are being studied, as well as strategies for adapting educational programs and sports events to the individual characteristics of participants. Students learn practical skills in organizing inclusive training, creating a safe and accessible environment, as well as developing social tolerance. In addition, the discipline forms competencies for working in an interdisciplinary team and contributing to the full-fledged socialization of people with disabilities

Methods of scientific research in adaptive physical culture

The discipline provides basic and in-depth knowledge of scientific research methods in the field of adaptive physical education. The main attention is paid to the selection of suitable research methods, data collection, their quantitative and qualitative analysis using modern statistical programs. The course covers the main stages of scientific research, including the development of hypotheses, analysis of results and presentation of conclusions in the format of publications, presentations or reports. Students are trained to critically evaluate the data obtained, apply them to improve educational and rehabilitation programs, as well as participate in research projects and grant competitions.
