If you are a citizen of a country which Kazakhstan has a visa regime with, you need a student visa of category C9 in order to study at Shakarim University.

To get a visa you need:
1. To find the visa procedure on the website of the consular mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan in your country;
2. Fill in the invitation letter form (Visaform DE and Visaform ENG) to obtain the initial student visa;
3. Send the following documents to the Center for International Cooperation of Shakarim University, email address international.office@shakarim.kz
Complete form of invitation letter;
Copy of passport;
Copy of the contract between Shakarim University and the foreign educational institution, where the clause on the passage of internships and practices is registered;
Confirmation of hotel reservation in Semey;
Booked ticket.
We will send you an invitation letter within 15 working days. It must be submitted to the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in your country along with other documents for visa.
Complete list of documents for visa is as follows:
letter of invitation from Shakarim University;
a passport with a validity period not earlier than 6 months of the requested visa, and having at least 2 blank pages for visa processing;
a completed visa application form (can be downloaded on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan or on the website of the embassy or consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in your country of residence);
color photo size 3.5×4.5;
an agreement between the university and the student/foreign educational institution;
receipt of payment of the consular fee;
if necessary, additional documents may be requested.
The term for issuing a visa is 5 working days.
EXTENSION OF MULTIPLE-ENTRY VISA FOR EDUCATION (C9)
To extend a visa in the Republic of Kazakhstan, you need to submit the following documents to the Center for International Cooperation (no later than 14 working days before the visa expires):
a passport with a validity period not earlier than 6 months of the requested visa, and having at least 2 blank pages for visa processing;
color photo 3.5 × 4.5 cm;
completed visa application form;
a certificate confirming that you are a student of Shakarim University (issued at the Student Services Center);
consular fee in the amount of 30 monthly calculation indices (paid in tenge).
Foreign student must take care of:
the extension of the validity of their national passport or its replacement;
about the restoration of the passport in case of its loss;
in case of renewal or replacement of the passport, provide a copy of the passport to the Center for International Cooperation.

Foreigners who arrived on the territory of Kazakhstan with a valid Kazakhstan visa of any category issued after July 1, 2018 are considered automatically registered for the period of validity of visas.
All foreign citizens who entered Kazakhstan on valid Kazakh visas do not need to fill out migration cards upon arrival in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Foreign citizens who arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan under a visa-free regime (applies to citizens of 45 countries listed below), as well as students of Shakarim University with an issued student visa, must submit their passports to the Student Service Center on the day of arrival or the next day for subsequent notification to the Migration Police Department of Semey city about their entry:
Citizens of the Commonwealth of Australia, United States of America, Republic of Austria, Kingdom of Belgium, Republic of Bulgaria, United Arab Emirates, Federal Republic of Germany, Hellenic Republic, Kingdom of Denmark, New Zealand, Japan, State of Israel, Republic of Ireland, Republic of Iceland, Kingdom of Spain, Republic of Italy , Canada, the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Hungary, Malaysia, the Republic of Malta, the United States of Mexico, the Principality of Monaco, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Norway, the Republic of Poland, the Portuguese Republic, Romania, the Republic of Singapore, The Slovak Republic, the Republic of Slovenia, the Republic of Turkey, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of Finland, the French Republic, the Republic of Croatia, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Chile, the Swiss Confederation, the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Estonia enter Republic of Kazakhstan and leave the Republic of Kazakhstan without visas, if the period of their stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan does not exceed thirty calendar days from the moment of crossing the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Sanitary and epidemiological requirements
Upon arrival in Kazakhstan, every foreign citizen, including holders of a residence permit, must have a negative PCR test with them. It must be issued no later than 72 hours before the moment of crossing the border. This requirement applies to all types of border crossings, with the exception of children under the age of 5 years, if the persons accompanying them have a certificate. In case of arrival with an expired PCR certificate, a foreigner may be deported.
In addition, all persons who arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan by air from abroad (with the exception of government delegations of the Republic of Kazakhstan; airline crews) undergo thermometry, questionnaires and are required to submit a certificate of passing the COVID-19 test by PCR (in Kazakh or Russian or English), from the date of issuance of the result of which no more than 3 days have passed at the time of crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Foreign students with a residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan must undergo temporary registration if the actual address of residence does not correspond to the permanent address of registration.
The student bears full responsibility, including material (payment of penalties), in case of violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and / or these Rules.
All costs associated with staying on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the student bears independently.
