On October 25, 2024, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Round Table on Modern Agriculture was held in the Yanling Demonstration Zone as part of the 31st Yanling Agricultural Expo. The main theme of the discussion was "Sustainable Agricultural Development - Smart Agriculture and Green Growth." Representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Russia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Mongolia, Cambodia, Belarus, and other countries participated in the session, actively exchanging views and experiences.

The participation of Shakarim University representatives in this event marked an important step toward expanding the university's partnership network and enhancing its international standing. During the visit to Yanling, China, the university delegation established new partnerships with leading educational and industrial organizations, which will strengthen scientific cooperation and facilitate knowledge exchange in the fields of food security and agriculture.

As a result of the visit, several strategic cooperation agreements were signed.

An agreement with Yanling Modern Agriculture International Cooperation Company, Ltd. This agreement aims to implement joint projects in the agro-industrial sector, including the establishment of a demonstration park for potato cultivation.  The park will serve as a base for testing new potato varieties and implementing modern planting methods. The collaboration will also extend to the livestock sector, focusing on improving livestock product quality and agricultural animal productivity, as well as exchanging advanced technologies and management expertise.
