Scientific Center History and Archaeology

The Scientific Center «History and Archeology» is a structural unit of the Shakarim Semey University, as well as the main expert, research center on history, archeology and ethnography in the territory of the Abai region.

Main areas of activity:

Scientific research.

• Study of topical issues of the history of the region, which is an integral part of domestic history;

• Scientific coordination of archaeological and ethnographic expeditions;

• Development of the scientific data and historiographic base of the center;

• Participation in the competition of grant projects announced by the Ministry of Science and higher education;

  Educational process.

• Formation of the center as a scientific and practical platform for students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the specialty "history";

• Conducting historical and educational events with schoolchildren and university students;

  Collaboration.

• Establishing contacts with scientific centers on the territory of the Republic and adjacent regions of neighboring countries;

• Participation in regional and Republican scientific projects in cooperation with domestic research organizations, especially the Institute of Archeology named after A. H. Margulan, the Institute of history and archeology named after sh.Ualikhanov, the Regional Museum of local lore of Semey.

  Study of the history and archeology, ethnographic heritage of the Abay region, study of the activities of the Alash movement and Alash figures, as well as the implementation of humanitarian research on the territory of the region.
