As part of Science Week, the Agrotechnopark of Shakarim University, in collaboration with Aesculap Veterinary Clinic, opened a grooming salon titled “Master of Care.” The opening ceremony was attended by the university’s vice-rectors, faculty members of Shakarim Higher College, students, and local residents.
Caring for pets goes far beyond feeding. Proper grooming includes a full range of procedures for maintaining the health and hygiene of your furry friend’s coat, skin, claws, eyes, and ears.
The newly opened grooming salon is fully equipped with modern tools and offers services such as bathing, fur brushing, nail trimming, ear and dental cleaning.
The main goal of the salon is to preserve the health of pets and improve their appearance.
“Professional pet grooming started developing back in the Middle Ages. Though it may seem simple, brushing a pet's fur is actually a form of skin massage that stimulates blood circulation. Improved blood flow promotes cell regeneration. Grooming involves specialized hygiene products and cosmetics, and this type of care helps prevent various diseases in animals,” noted Shyngys Suleimenov, Director of the Agrotechnopark.
This event can rightly be considered a significant step in promoting a culture of responsible pet ownership and care.
During the salon's opening, city residents took part in a hygiene-focused master class on pet care, receiving hands-on advice on how to care for cats, dogs, small rodents, and other animals.
