As part of an initiative by the "Kazakhstan Students’ Alliance," Shakarim University hosted the "Shakarim Aruy – 2025" beauty contest. The competition featured six contestants representing the university's Higher and Research Schools.
Opening the event, the Head of the Social Support and Youth Development Center at Shakarim University, Arailim Orazgaliyeva, expressed her confidence in the contestants' talents and potential:
"A girl is the future of the nation, the foundation of its culture and morality. Therefore, I believe that today’s participants will not only showcase their beauty and talents but will also prove to be intelligent, well-rounded, and patriotic individuals who embody the values of their people."
The jury panel included the head of the "Іңкәр Sезім" modeling agency Tomiris Sultanova, founder of the "Kerbez" dress atelier Aiyym Musakhanova, actor of the Abai Theater Askhat Mauken, Chairman of the "Kazakhstan Students' Alliance" in the Abai region Tattimbet Orazov, and the "Miss Semey 2024" winner Elnaz Khamitova.
The competition aimed to instill in young women the values of modesty, grace, and knowledge, as well as to nurture their appreciation for beauty, culture, and personal growth. Contestants demonstrated their creativity and passion for culture, answered questions about Kazakh history and traditions, and sought to win the hearts of the audience by promoting national values.
The winner of the contest was Sara Keldibekova, a student of the Research School of Veterinary Science and Agriculture, who earned the prestigious title of "Shakarim Aruy – 2025".
