Shakarim University at the Top of the World Podium!
At the World Kickboxing Cup held in Antalya, Kazakhstan won 10 gold medals — and one of them returned to Semey. The gold was claimed by Abai Yergaliyev, a 3rd-year student of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports at Shakarim University, competing in the under 60 kg weight category.

At the tournament, which brought together 2,549 athletes from 41 countries, Abai demonstrated top-level preparation, strong will to win, and true sportsmanship. His victory is, of course, his personal achievement, but also a triumph for the university, the Abai region, and the entire nation.

"This is a moment of pride for all of Kazakhstan and Shakarim University. You are a true example of strength, discipline, and real leadership!" said University Rector Duman Orynbekov in his congratulatory speech, presenting Abai with a Certificate of Appreciation and highlighting his contribution to the international image of the university.

Abai represents the face of the new generation of Kazakhstan — athletic, determined, and victorious.
