The faculty, scientific community and management of Shakarim University fully support the initiative to award the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science to the scientist, Professor Mukhit-Ardager Sydyknazarov!
Professor Mukhit-Ardager Sydyknazarov is an outstanding scientist who has paved the way for a new scientific level of understanding the centuries-old historical nature of the Kazakh state on the basis of rare, substantiated cartographic data. In terms of the volume, depth of content and scientific novelty of his works, he is considered a high achievement of domestic humanitarian science.
As a result of his research in the national archives and libraries of Europe, royal cartographic funds, as well as leading scientific centers in the Middle East and the USA for more than twenty years, the scientist has collected for the first time more than 5,000 rare European and American historical maps that systematically reflect the territorial continuity and political and geographical independence of the Kazakh statehood in the 9th-19th centuries and introduced them into scientific circulation. This extensive data has opened the way to making new conclusions based on a historical cartographic basis at an unprecedented level in the history of Kazakhstan.
The two-volume publication “The Continuous Statehood of Kazakhstan: On the Wave of History. The Kazakh State on European and American Maps of the 15th-19th Centuries. Atlas”, published in Brussels in Kazakh, English and Russian, is one of the works of unparalleled scientific value that has entered the golden fund of Kazakh science.
Based on these ancient maps, Professor Sydyknazarov identified more than 20 medieval cities of the Kazakh state that were previously unknown in the scientific community and introduced them into scientific circulation.
These works of the scientist gave a special impetus not only to the field of humanitarian science, but also to the revival of our historical memory, strengthening our national identity, recognizing the place of the Kazakh state on the world geopolitical map and substantiating it on a scientific basis.
These scientific innovations are now widely used in the academic education system, in the diplomatic environment, in museum expositions and international scientific institutions.
Professor Mukhit-Ardager Sydyknazarov is not limited to scientific research, but also carries out extensive educational work aimed at widely disseminating and internationally promoting historical and cartographic data proving the continuous statehood of the Kazakh state. He actively continues his scientific and educational mission by conducting open lectures in various regions of Kazakhstan and abroad.
On his initiative, permanent exhibitions entitled "Gallery of Ancient Maps of the Kazakh State", consisting of historical maps of the Kazakh state from the 9th to the 19th centuries, were organized and presented to the public in Brussels (Belgium), Paris (France), London (Great Britain), Moscow (Russia), Warsaw (Poland), San Francisco and Chicago (USA), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), as well as in Almaty, Astana, Aktobe, Karaganda, Kokshetau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Uralsk, Turkestan, Shymkent and other cities of Kazakhstan.
We believe that the many years of hard work of Professor Mukhit-Ardager Sydyknazarov are worthy of the highest scientific award of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the State Prize. We consider supporting Professor Sydyknazarov to be a real contribution to the development of national science, the restoration of historical justice, and the strengthening of the sovereignty and statehood of our country.
