So the traditional Spartakiad-2023 among the faculty and structural divisions of Shakarim University has come to an end. This year it was held for a month and a half in 8 sports (volleyball, football, basketball, table tennis, chess, badminton, togyz kumalak, archery). 250 people took part in it. The prize fund has increased 4 times. If in the first year it was 250 thousand, then this year it is 1.5 million tenge. 
Chairman of the Board - Rector Bauyrzhan Yerdembekov noted that mass sports gives an opportunity to improve their physical qualities and motor capabilities, strengthen health.
"In 2023, a large-scale repair of sports complexes was carried out. There are a number of sections and circles for employees and students of the university. All possible conditions are created for the development of their skills and abilities. Our employees and students continue to delight us with their achievements, taking prizes at city, regional and republican competitions. They defend the honor of the university, and we support and help them! This is our great joint work," the rector said.
According to the results of the Spartakiad-2023, the places were distributed as follows:
1 - Team of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics;
2 - Shakarim Higher College Team;
3 - The "Rectorate" team.
It is gratifying that such events not only promote a healthy lifestyle, but also bring employees closer together, because working in a team on a common goal, an atmosphere of friendship and partnership reigns in the team.
