A Teacher’s Honor is the Nation’s Pride

Shakarim University held a solemn event in honor of the Higher Education Workers’ Day. The celebration gathered veteran teachers, members of the faculty, and university staff.
As part of the concert program, talented young performers lifted the audience’s spirits with their artistic presentations. University creative teams and student organizations actively took part and showcased their talents. The youth theater "Karagoz" and the poetry club "Narkesken" presented a theatrical performance that deeply touched the hearts of the dedicated teachers and staff.
Speaking at the event, Askar Kasymov, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Social Development, emphasized the importance of education for the future of the country and wished success in the new academic year. He also presented awards, honorary badges, and certificates of recognition to distinguished teachers and staff.
Among the honorees were Zhanar Muratbekkyzy Orynkanova, Head of the Center for Strategic Planning and Quality Management; Nazigul Slyambolkyzy Gazizova, Coordinator of the Center for Sociological Analysis; and Sholpan Serikbosynkyzy Satieva, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology — all of whom received the “Akhmet Baitursynuly” badge of honor.
Araylym Kanatkyzy Orazgalieva, Head of the Center for Youth Social Support and Development, was awarded the badge “For Contribution to the Development of the Mother Tongue,” while Amirzhan Leonidovich Kasenov, Chairman of the Dissertation Council, received the badge “For Contributions to the Development of Science.”
Maral Serikkzy Iskakova, Lecturer at the Department of Economics and Finance, was awarded the “Shakarim” Medal. Eleonora Kurmetkyzy Okuskhanova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Food Technology, received the “Excellence in Science” Honorary Diploma. Aliya Mataikyzy Zhumagulova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Language Communication, was recognized with the “Language Advocate” Honorary Diploma.
In addition, several faculty members and staff were honored with Certificates of Appreciation and Commendation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
On behalf of veteran educators, Zeynolla Kalymbekuly Tokayev gave a heartfelt speech, congratulating his colleagues and younger peers on their professional holiday and offering warm wishes.
This celebratory event dedicated to Higher Education Workers’ Day not only uplifted the spirit of the university community but also inspired a renewed passion for education and science.
