This document paves the way for systematically developing partnership ties between the two universities and implementing new strategic projects.

During the visit of the Shakarim University delegation, led by Rector Duman Orynbekov, to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, the academic and research infrastructure of TUIT was presented in detail. The delegation was introduced to the modern studios of the Media Center, the innovative laboratories of the Higher School of Engineering, and the experimental projects carried out in the Fab Lab and Living Lab zones. In addition, the educational, methodological, and research activities of various faculties and scientific centers were showcased, and opportunities for integrating advanced IT practices were discussed.

At the official meeting between representatives of the two universities, key areas of cooperation were clarified. Agreements were reached on jointly developing modern digital educational programs, implementing research projects in information technology and artificial intelligence, expanding academic mobility for master’s and doctoral students, and organizing faculty exchange programs. Furthermore, both sides expressed readiness to support startups and innovative initiatives and to hold joint events.

This partnership, established within the framework of the QS Eurasia Forum 2025 held in Tashkent, represents an important step toward developing the digital educational ecosystem of the region. The forum addressed issues related to expanding international academic cooperation, enhancing research potential, and accelerating the digital transformation of higher education. Therefore, the memorandum between Shakarim University and TUIT is considered one of the most impactful and forward-looking outcomes of the event.

The signed memorandum strengthens educational and scientific cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It is also expected to contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of information technology, the advancement of scientific developments in artificial intelligence, and the stimulation of innovative projects aimed at shaping the region’s digital future.
