Shakarim University at the QS Eurasia 2025 Forum

On November 25–26, an important international event in the field of higher education is taking place in the city of Tashkent (Uzbekistan) - QS Eurasia Forum 2025 “Broadening horizons: Building global bridges in higher education”.

The forum involves leading universities and experts from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Hungary, as well as countries in Europe and the Middle East. Participants discuss issues of improving the quality of education in the region, developing international cooperation and integration into the global educational space.

At a large-scale international event, the ministers of science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan acted as key speakers, touching on key aspects of regional integration, expanding interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange of experience.

The forum is also attended by the rector of Shәkarim University Duman Orynbekov and Vice-Rector Erasyl Dulatbay. They established contacts with foreign partners, examined new opportunities for joint projects and presented the university's international initiatives.

The forum was organized by the reputable company QS Quacquarelli Symonds, leading world university rankings. At the opening ceremony, QS President and Chairman of the Board of Directors Nunzio Quaccarelli made a speech, noting new strategic projects in the field of higher education in Eurasia, as well as efforts to international integration and improve the quality of education.

During the forum, he presented the rector of Shakarim University Duman Orynbekov with the certificate “QS Asia University Rankings 2026.”

We would like to remind you that based on the results ranking "QS Stars" The university took 493rd place in the "QS Asia University Rankings 2026" and was among the five universities that achieved the best result in the entire history of participation. The ranking represents 1,529 higher education institutions, of which 554 are included for the first time.
